Where are the Ibises ?

Where most cities have seagulls hovering around parkland areas scavenging for food, Brisbane (and many other Queensland towns) seem to have Ibises instead. I’ve noticed how big and aggressive some of the ibises around the Brisbane CBD are – but this trip has been different – I don’t see any at all.

Then I found some information on the Brisbane City Council website (while looking for something else)…

Ibis Control … thanks to “Soren”, the ibises have been scared away from the CBD areas… and it seems to be quite effective too from what I’ve seen so far.

LOCATION: Sheraton, Brisbane, Australia

Ibises abound in the park at the El Alamein fountain in Kings Cross, Sydney. I prefer them to seagulls.
