Almost oops !

ADSL download allowance: 32,000 MB (Internode PADSL-1500-Unlimited-Green).

Usage for period ending 26/07/04: 31,896.7 MB *phew*.

Given I was downloading a heap of software images for work over the weekend, if it hadn’t stopped when it did, I would have been still trying to download stuff on Monday. I made sure I had a quiet data day on Monday – although it wouldn’t have mattered that much, as I elected to have the speed capped if I go over rather than incur extra charges.

A 40kbps cap does sound rather ominous and painful, but I just need to keep reminding myself that, when traveling, I sometimes stay in hotels with no broadband, and a maximum dialup modem connection speed of around 24kbps through their PABX. Now THAT is painful!

Oh well, rollover occurred last night, so I’m back to a full 32GB download allowance again, and Lotus Workplace should be out real soon now, so I’ll be able to download it quite happily – yay.
