Okay, I’ve changed the site around again.
In my typical over-engineering fashion, what I tried first was a good idea, but overly complicated. I wanted to have separate domains for each family member who might hang off mysite – hence sim.hampel.net.au, rose.hampel.net.au etc, but as it turns out they just don’t seem to be interested enough for me to pursue this unintuitive structure.
So I’m going back to the good ol’ www.hampel.net.au
This time, I’ve set up some domain aliases so that sim.hampel.net.au, blog.hampel.net.au and gallery.hampel.net.au all resolve to www.hampel.net.au
But please, if you have linked to my site, change it to www.hampel.net.au – that’s the address I want people to be referring to this site as.

Sorry Dad, I didn’t mean that to be rude or spiteful.
I was just telling it like it is – you have better things to do with your time, and as such you are not interested in pursuing some active web development on my site right now. I’m sure you’ll get to it one day (like when you have retired – then again you’ll probably be even more busy then !!). I’m just being a little more pragmatic about how I do things.
Rather than set things up in the hopes that my elaborate structure will be needed one day, I have set them up as I need them now, and will adapt to change as it happens rather than trying to predict it all now.
As for relating to people in real time – I think that deserves a separate blog entry !

Hang on a bit!
It is not that we are not interested – it is just that we have far better things to do with our time. You know, like relating to people in real time! Yeah, OK, it’s old fashioned, but…

You keep creating work for me. Oh I get it. It’s designed to testwho is a regular reader! Fine then, play your simple games. You’ll never beat me. Never!
