One interesting, but not unexpected side effect of changing ISPs is that I don’t get any spam any more !!
The spammers seem to gather email addresses from information they can get from web browser sessions and such – which leads them to my ISP email account. I had my BigPond account for around 2 years, and I was up to 50 or more spam messages a day sent to my BigPond address.
Now that my ISP provided email address has changed with the move to Internode, I no longer get any spam (for now), which means that I no longer get much email at all !
It’s like getting a mailbox full of junk mail – a full mailbox is at least more satisfying than a completely empty one !
I’m almost having withdrawal symptoms from a lack of constant email trickling in to my system.
Almost, I said. :D
