The other day I went to shave using my Braun Synchro electric shaver, and found it rougher than usual. I figured it was just me.
The day after I shaved again and when almost done – trying to get those last few pesky hairs on my neck, my shaver cut me quite badly. That’s never happened before with this shaver.
I had a close look at the foil over the cutters and noticed it was broken ! Part of the foil had worn or broken away, exposing the cutters more (and possibly more of a sharp edge of the foil too). Time for a replacement.
Got a new foil and cutter unit from the Shaver Shop, and today I tried it out (hadn’t shaved all week so far – been working from home), so I had quite a heavy beard already. It was like shaving with a new shaver ! I hadn’t realised how blunt the old cutter had become – you don’t tend to notice those gradual things.
This new cutter and foil were smooth, and it cut through the hair so easily – it was a pleasure to shave with. I hate shaving with a passion (which is a problem given how fast and thick my facial hair grows), so anything that makes it easier is great.
So life lesson #2069C: replace foil and cutters more often !
