I found something even worse than the mailing list archives… a file library which has copies of files that I uploaded to one of the old file mirror archives way back when.
I was an avid OS/2 user back in my uni days – and when IBM created their own web browser “WebExplorer” for OS/2, which we all thought had so much potential, I decided to maintain an FAQ document about it.
The FAQ lasted 6 revisions, and then it became clear that the product was doomed – Netscape was by now freely available, and they had just released a version for OS/2 which was far more capable than the IBM browser.
So if anyone is interested, and still has the capability to read IBM OS/2 INF format files, then check out this file from October 1995 (I was still in uni): wxfaq06.zip – “IBM OS/2 WebExplorer FAQ List Release 06 (10-25-95) – OS/2 INF format. by Sim’ Hampel”.
