Walt Disney World – Lotusphere day 4, Universal Islands of Adventure, Magic Kingdom
Lotusphere day 4 was pretty much the same as the previous days – up early to do my room monitor duties, and then attend some sessions after lunch.
Tonight was the Lotusphere Party, where they bussed everyone (except us – I took several of my colleagues and one of our customers in our car), over to Universal Studios Orlando Theme Park – Islands of Adventure. The park closed to the general public at 6:30pm and by 7:30pm we had taken over the park, with almost ever ride open to us, and free food and drink put on at the various restaurants there. Most of the theme park is big thrill rides – not really my thing … but I did wander around with my colleagues and watch them ride the rollercoasters and such. The one ride I did go on and really enjoyed, was the 3D thrill ride, “The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man” – quite spectacular special effects, and very convincing ride.
Leanne had spent the day at The Magic Kingdom – walking across to Epcot to catch the monorail over to The Magic Kingdom rather than driving. She tells me her favourite bits today were Fantasy Land, the Share a Dream Come True Parade, and the Wishes nighttime spectacular.
