We left Port Campbell just after 9am this morning, stopping almost as soon as we left the town (I think we were still in the 80kph zone) to look at the views from a lookout over the Port Campbell bay.
We then proceeded to stop every couple of kilometres for the next hour and a half, looking at the various sights and spectacular scenery along the Great Ocean Road. London Bridge, The Grotto, Bay of Islands, amongst others.
By the end we were quite sick and tired of climbing in and out of the car and lugging the cameras around !
We eventually got away from the scenic areas and drove on to Warrnambool, then Port Fairy where we stopped for lunch.
We then continued past Portland and then on to Nelson and a stop for afternoon tea and to feed some seagulls that repayed us with some poop on the car. *sigh*
Finally we arrived in Mt Gambier by about 3pm, and we drove around the crater lake (taking lots of photos of the wonderfully blue water, naturally) before heading to the motel in time to unpack the car, get freshened up and head in to town to the cinema to catch a 4:30 session of Master and Commander.
