Damn I hate change of address – almost enough to make you not want to move. In fact, it is enough to make you think very hard before you do move !!!
I’ve updated 46 different organisations today, and I have 18 more on my list so far, but I still need to go through my filing system to identify other organisations that I need to update – there’s probably another 20 there.
I don’t know what we would have done before the internet – of the 46 I’ve done so far, 24 of them have been done online, 3 have been emailed, 6 have been faxed, 8 have been phoned, and 5 have been mailed.
Of course, post office boxes don’t really solve the problem either – the majority of these organisations want to know your street address as well as your mailing address, so you’d have to contact them one way or another anyway.
Yep it is pretty annoying, all those stationary to change also…
Didn’t we tell you that moving house is one of the most stressful times of life? I’m sure we told you. Both your mother and your father. Still – you are definitely over the worst of it. Enjoy the extra space, the quietness, the thrill of the hunt (“Aaahhh – so THAT’S where it was put!!!)
