OS/2 about to be withdrawn

IBM announced earlier this month that it will withdraw its operating system OS/2 officially from sale on December 23 this year and will offer support through to the end 2006.
Although it’s amazing the product is still out there, still in use, and still being sold – it is still a bit sad really – back when I was living in Adelaide, I was heavily involved in the local OS/2 community, and was at one time Vice President of the OS/2 User Group of South Australia. For its time, it was a great product.
