LAX

Just waiting for our connecting flight to Chicago here in the “Admirals Club” at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

We didn’t get the new bed seats on the flight – Qantas are only starting to install them this month and they won’t be done of the SYD-LAX route until last.

You get that.

At least we have in-seat power for laptops now.

LOCATION: LAX, Los Angeles, USA
LOCAL TIME: 11:29am, Saturday 6th Sept.

Of course! It’s one of their most profitable and constant demand sectors. Will putting beds there first make more profit or competitive difference?

The phrase I was looking for was inelastic demand http://www.amosweb.com/cgi-bin/gls.pl?fcd=dsp&key=inelastic+demand

While I do think the sector is price sensitive (to extent that Qantas can’t just double prices), it is price insensitive among the major carriers. I would guess demand remains fairly constant among the majority of its users.
